Какие основные времена используются в современном украинском языке

In modern Ukrainian language, the primary verb tenses used are Present, Past, and Future. These main tenses allow speakers to express actions or states occurring respectively now, before now, and after now. The Ukrainian language does not use a wide array of verb tenses like some other languages; instead, it relies on these three core tenses with various aspects and nuances conveyed through context, verb forms, and auxiliary constructions.

1. Present tense — used to describe current actions or general truths.
2. Past tense — used for actions or states completed before the moment of speaking.
3. Future tense — describes actions or events that will happen after the present time. It can be formed in synthetic or analytic ways in Ukrainian.

This foundational system enables clear temporal distinctions in everyday communication and literary expression in Ukrainian. ¹
